Maddie Bautista (she/her) is a Bi, Saudi Arabia-born Filipina sound designer, composer, and performance creator based in Treaty 13, Tkaronto. She is 1/2 of queer performance art duo xLq, with Jordan Campbell. Dedicated to radical performance forms, xLq combines ritual, fashion, dance, music, and queer pop aesthetics to create complicit audience experiences. Their interactive work can be best described as facilitated theatrical playgrounds created for the audience member's self-discovery. xLq's body of work includes cabaret performances, drag shows, installation-based art parties and performance playgrounds. xLq is also their lifestyle: the persona they use in their life and their performances. www.maddiebautista.com
