The Lettuce Head Experience
A silly produce-themed dance tutorial for all ages in a public park.
Facilitating and coaching by Rock Bottom Movement (Alyssa Martin)
Live Music by Jacob Vanderham (AKA Telehorn) A surrealist pop-up performance at your local farmers’ market. Lettuce entertain you.
The Lettuce Head Experience is a participatory event for everyone! It’s an exhilarating, collaborative experience facilitated and coached by Alyssa Martin (Rock Bottom Movement) and set to live original music by Jacob Vanderham (Telehorn). We’ll conjure community, get a little sweaty and activate the market around us! Taking place in local outdoor markets, you’ll be coached as a group through friendly, psychedelic, image-based dances and move through a 30-minute experience scored and sung live. The Lettuce Head Experience is for anyone who’s ever dreamt of putting on a surrealist pop-up performance in a farmers’ market with their friends! Please join us, wear your comfiest clothes and shoes, apply some sunscreen, bring a water bottle, and an open mind. No dance experience required and all ages are welcome to participate. We can’t wait to dive into the lettuce with you! |
Rock Bottom Movement wishes to thank The Bulmash-Siegel Foundation for their initial support of this work, Tarragon Theatre for hosting the initial development of “Lettuce Head”, and the previous creative collaborators: Drew Berry, Brayden Jamil Cairns, Kendra Epik, Sam Grist, Tarique Lewis, Andrew Marzotto and dramaturg Myekah Payne.
