Ambrose by Single Thread Theatre Company
Solo audience exploratory ghost story in the Grand Theatre in Kingston.
Created and Directed by: Liam Karry
Script written by: Alex Dault, Liam Karry and Daniele Bartolini Presented in partnership with: DLT Teatro (2015 premiere) Scenography by: Darkle (Ambrose in Bangkok) Produced by: Lindsey Higgs (Ambrose in Bangkok) On December 1st 1919, theatre tycoon and self-made millionaire Ambrose Small sold all of his theatres. The next day, he disappeared. This mystery was explored in this original work as audiences went behind the curtains of one of his former properties, the Grand Theatre in Kingston. For the 2018 Bangkok Theatre Festival, Single Thread reimagined their original work Ambrose in historic Chinatown, in collaboration with Darkle. Inspired once more by the true story of Ambrose Small, self-made millionaire, theatre tycoon, gambler and womanizer, the project was Bangkok's first solo audience, immersive production. |
